C/2011 L4 (PANSTARRS) in Andromeda. Taken along Caņada Rd in San Mateo County, CA. on March 22, 2013
at 8:27 PM PDT with a Pentax K-5 and an smc PENTAX-M 1:4 200mm lens. This is an average of 6
exposures of 1.3, 1.6 and 2 seconds at f4 and an ISO of 6400. I was able to see it through
binoculars but not unaided. The two stars in the tail of the comet are BSC HR156 and TYC 1738-1292-1,
while the very red star near the top is Zeta And.. This image was downsized from the original image
and processed with Photoshop CS5.
