NGC 2857 (Arp 001)

NGC 2857 or Arp 001, spiral galaxy type Sc in Ursa Major. Arp 001 is in the class of Low Surface
Brightness Spirals. Taken in average to poor seeing and transparency on March 12, 13, 19,
23,24 and Mar 27 2009 with CCD Lab’s Q285M and a C8N at f5 on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount.

All subframes were 5 minutes binned 1x1 resulting in the following total exposures L:R:G:B (min) =
305:75:75:75. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing
using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
