Abell 78 (PN A66 78, PK 81-14.1, PN G081.2-14.9), planetary nebula, in Cygnus. Taken Aug, 26, 29,
Sept 8, 9, and 10 2009. Imaged with CCD Lab’s Q285M and a C8N at f5 on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount.
OIII and H-alpha exposures were 8 minutes, while the RGB exposures were 3 minutes resulting in the
following total exposures with the OIII and H-alpha information used for the luminosity channel
OIII+Ha:(R+Ha):(G+OIII):(B+OIII) (min) = 240+392:(60+392):(60+240):(60+240). Color balance was
achieved via numerically scaled channels. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated and sigma combined in
Iris with other processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
