M63 (NGC 5055), Spiral Galaxy type Sb, in Canes Venatici. Faintly visible to the center right is
UGCA 342 (dwarf Irregular). Taken on the nights of Apr 21 and Apr 22, 2007, with a DSI Pro II and
Outback Cooler on a C8NGT (8" Newtonian f5). LRGB subframes were 150 sec resulting in the
following total exposures L:R:G:B ( in min) = 133:80:75:75 Color balance was achieved via
numerically scaled channels. Captured with Envisage, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with
other processing using FITZ, PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
