Black Jack was a stray for 4 years before being brought into the shelter. He's an older boy, about 7 years old. His owners moved away and left him behind. Everyone in the neighborhood would just feed him when he came by. I don't know how he made it alone through the cold winters. Jack's snoozing on the couch at my apartment overnight because I had to take him to a vet appointment early in the morning so they could look at his teeth. Someone filed them down to small nubs at some point in his life. He's a Pitbull mix so he was really hard to find the right home for so we kept him as our mascot for several months. He was adopted to a family 2 weeks ago and they say he's the most wonderful dog they've ever had. I really miss my stubborn old friend.
