Borax Wagon
The wagons were built at a cost of $900 each. . The wagon was built to haul ten tons of borax ore on a one-way grueling trip over the Panamint mountains to Mojave.

The rear wheels were seven-feet-high and the front wheels measured five-foot-high. The one-inch thick iron tires were eight-inches wide.
Borax Train
A completed mule train consisted of two loaded ore wagons a 500 gallon water tank for a gross weight of 73,200 pounds. The length of the mule train when the mules were added was over 100 feet.
