I had the good fortune to see Queen and Bad Company on separate occasions in 1977. I also saw Paul Rodgers with Jimmy Page and the Firm in 1985. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to see these two acts together at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo on March 17th, 2006. I was also surprised that cameras were allowed (I didn't have to hide the camera in my pants, just walked in with it around my neck). We sat in the 20th row, 3 rows off the end of the cat walk. This was my first attempt at concert photography, although I had done some research beforehand. It was quite a struggle adapting to the rapid changes in lighting, extreme dynamic range, and heads, waving hands/cell phone cams in front of me (I've cloned/cropped/pasted them out of some shots). However, the 350D and EF 50mm 1.8 II came through admirably. I took about 600 shots which yielded about 150 keepers, not bad considering. Most importantly, the concert was terrific.
