The Marina

Here is a large and dynamic neighborhood along San Francisco Bay - east of the Golden Gate. Home to two marinas actually - The Saint Francis and Golden Gate Yacht Clubs. There is the beautiful Marina Green - a recreational belt between the water and homes. Russian Hill flanks the east end of The Marina - to the south rises Pacific Heights - and at the west end are The Presidio - a former military base, now part of The Golden Gate National Recreation Area - and The Exploritorium along with The Palace of fine Arts - the beautiful domed structure left from the 1911 Pan American Exposition.
