This bright orange trolley is from Milan, Italy. One of thirty-three vintage trolley cars that run in regular service in San Francisco. Traversing along Market Street from the Castro District to The Ferry Building and then turning north along The Embarcadero to Fisherman's Wharf, these glorious old steel work-horses are practical in keeping score of cars off city streets - and are a ton of fun to boot!
Thank you Senator Diane Feinstein. Years ago when she was mayor of San Francisco - she engineered the idea of bringing these historic trolley cars to The City from all over the world. Bravo. We have rail cars from Italy, England, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Kansas City, St. Louis, and India.
