March 19 - erawan sadness

The Erawan Shrine in Bangkok - one of my favourite spots, and always really popular with locals in Bangkok.
Tragically this shrine was destroyed just a couple of days after I took this and the person who did it was killed on the spot.

*news story*

I'm slowly getting up to date and have just posted a few PaD shots, more of my tourist excursions are here..... *on the tourist trail*

Hi ! Welcome back! Something very compelling about either the processing on this shot - or the way it was taken. Has a very film effect / finish to it. very cool. As for the story - that really is a harrowing tale. Makes this image even more compelling. Voted

what a shame. I hope it can be restored.

That is a sad story Terry. You've once again really done well with the exposure, I love all of the floral offerings in front of the shrine!

Nicely shot, but a very sad story.
