These images are done by manual focus. Without zooming all the way in the Tamron seems to give a more interesting tone (and better exposure for some reason). With the Canon the camera is giving a brighter image but somehow a hair overexposed IMHO, especially on the "skin tone". The old Tamron has been around for years. I kept it since the 90's and have not touched it for years (don't have a Nikon body for a while). It's not a "great" lens by today's standard on the AF department but it is still a sharp lens for the price.
This is done by using a Nikon to EOS adapter. Both images are shot with the same Canon 7D camera. Manual focus via live view.
