Hi Joseph. I forgot to click "Add Commment" so not sure my last comment got through-sorry if this is a repeat. Great photos and comments from your Tuesday at Sabine. Amazing a Blue Grosbeak can eat sandburs! I am thinking your "Chuck-will's-widow is actually a Whip-poor-will based on the overall structure, color pattern (lots of gray, blackish throat), and shape and darkness of the bil. Likely a female with a worn tail tip. Whips are far less likely to flush than Chucks. Keep the great reports comming
