The Iluminación Stupa is a Buddhist monument for peace, prosperity and harmony in the world, as well as a sublime place for meditation.Over 33 metres high and with a base that is 25 metres long by 25 metres wide, it is the largest stupa in the West. It is crowned by a golden cone which can be seen from anywhere on the coast from Benalmádena to Fuengirola. Inside there is a meditation room that is over 100 square metres.It was inaugurated on 5 October 2003, following the wishes of the great Buddhist master from the Himalayas, Lopon Tsechu Rinpoche.
