Built in 1880 for the 50th anniversary of Belgian independence, the Parc du Cinquantenaire is both a set of "French-style" gardens and a historic site where you can discover monuments, sculptures and museums. It is dominated by a three-arched triumphal arch with, at the top, a bronze quadriga and a panorama with a breathtaking view of the capital. The large paths lead you to the Pavillon des Passions humaines designed by Victor Horta, to the Royal Museum of the Army and Military History, to the Art & History Museum and to Autoworld, the automobile museum.
