Small Beguinage
The Small Beguinage was first mentioned in 1272. The district consisted of a street and two dead-end alleys where women who served in the nearby Sint-Geertrui Abbey lived .In 2000, the Klein Beguinage was thoroughly restored and sold to private individuals. Today, about thirty houses in traditional Flemish style remain of the beguinage.
