Up, down, left, right, in front of you and behind you. In Blinde-Ezelstraat there is something beautiful to see on every square meter. From the vault between the Town Hall and the Civil Registry to the black square on the side wall of the Town Hall. This section of wall was deliberately not cleaned after a restoration in the 1970s and is a testament to how polluted the facade of the town hall looked, as a result of car traffic that was possible in this narrow street for decades. Today this is an indispensable pedestrian and cyclist passage because this mini street connects two attractions: the Burg and the Vismarkt. Many legends explain the name of this street, but the fact is that there was an inn here in the 15th century called Den Blinden Ezel.
