The viewer immediately notices the extensive frescoes on the flanks of the old town hall. The paintings are by the artist Anwander, who created them in 1755. The frescoes show the four elements on the mountain town side and the four seasons on the other side, but all in allegories. Furthermore, good and bad human qualities are presented and one can come to the conclusion that Anwander wanted to hold up a mirror to the bishop and the clergy, as well as to the citizens. It is interesting here that the painting partially turns into the plastic, an angel's leg protrudes, a window is partially covered with a curtain and small angels float to the side.
