Domčnech i Montaner designed a pioneering hospital complex with 11 main pavilions separated by large gardens. The psychiatric hospital that currently still maintains its original function, followed innovative lines of therapy to improve the quality of life of the inmates. There is an interesting mix of materials: stone, brick, ceramic and mosaic. Pavilion 6, known as "dels Distingits", is the most artistically valuable, due to its ornamental richness, both exterior and interior, since the architect was also in charge of the design of the interior details. Today, the original furniture is still preserved.
