In 1498 the council commissioned the sculptor Felipe Bigarny a relief in stone for trasaltar. Bigarny limestone executed his way to Calvary. This is the premier documented of this artist in Burgos and she shows her style, very debtor expressiveness and the Gothic Renaissance but open to new work, as evidenced in the decorative elements. Following the success of the commission, the council entrusted two reliefs: the Crucifixion and the Descent, burial and resurrection of Christ (1500-1503), both are currently very damaged carved stone to have poor quality sprayed with humidity. The architectural decorative frame reliefs attributed to Simon de Colonia.This sculpture almost two centuries after the addition was completed at the ends of two new reliefs, dedicated to the Agony in the Garden and the Ascension. They were executed by the sculptor Pedro Alonso of the Rivers between 1681 and 1683, also in limestone, and in Baroque style.
