38 difeerent elements were build by Gaudí on the terrace of the house: 30 chimneys in seven groups, two ventilation towers and six stairwells.The terrace was restored in 1995 to repair the structure and rescue the original shapes, textures and colors, but above all to recuperate all the elements actually designed by Gaudí. Therefore some chimneys that were added later were eliminated during the renovations.
