All Trujllo paths converge in the Plaza Mayor, the heart of the city, surrounded by interesting buildings of great beauty. This place is probably the most beautiful of all and not to be missed. It is also the perfect place to eat in some restaurants around high quality at a good price where you can taste special dishes such as wild boar chocolate, for example. In the center of the square stands the bronze equestrian statue of Francisco Pizarro, conqueror of Peru. They also highlight many important buildings. These include, besides the impressive Church of St. Mary: - The Church of St. Martin of Tours, Gothic-Renaissance, which began in the S. XIV and completed in the S. XVI. This church was the place of meeting of the Council of Trujillo.
