In the Artigas Gardens, Gaudí proposed a stroll down the banks of a source of stream that converts further downstream into one of the most important rivers of Catalonia. although his project tries to cause minimal visual impact on the natural surroundings, the architect introduced in some areas of the park some plant species taken from parc Güell, more apporpiate for coastal landscapes, such as yuccas, wisteria or even a palm tree, which, nonetheless, acclimatized ro the region´s temperature and its damp weather
