Dedicated to Pere Màrtir Calvet. When designed the façade, made from sandstone from the nearby mountain,Montjuïc, Gaudí started with a very ordered plan, with five openings per floor (alternating balconies of three-lobed base and less complex French windows) three of them inverted (typical of catalan baroque). Gaudí reinterprets Baroque art by the shapes and ornaments used on Casa Calvet´s façade, packed with sympolism concerning the developer´s family linage, his Christian faith, his customs and his business activities.
