I understand totally, Jola. Sometimes you just take the shot and hope for the best because it's a one chance only shot. Not a bad shot - I like the red roof!
To Kees - when you are on a tourist bus trip you have to photograph what the program allows. Here I asked a bus driver to go to this place which I've read about in a tourist book and stop that I could take a photo, as this building (the oldest in town !!) was not in this excurssion program !!
So, I had just five seconds and a window glass between my camera and this sight. No choice of the angle at all. I was happy I could see it at all.

nice story Kees ... however, it's a great composition and colors Jola. Wonderful shoot as usual - Voted !~
In a way I feel sorry that they replaced the roof with such a new one. It has lost some of the old feelings that go with such a church but hey... You cannot keep on pleasing just the photographers. The depth of field is immense. The yellow building in the background unfortunately distracts and the art of a good composition is that there is nothing in the image other than what you are trying to present, that attracts attention. Anything that draws attention other than the main subject is a potential distraction. I wonder what other angels you would have been able to photograph this building from in order to minimize distractions. I know.. tough...
