St. Nepomuk Shrine

Poland, South Roztocze

This shrine - as the legend says - was built in 1672 by the Polish released from Turkish slavery by John III Sobieski.
Kapliczka pw. sw. Jana Nepomucena, postawiona prawdopodobnie w 1672r.
Jak glosi legenda, wystawili ja uwolnieni z niewoli jeńcy, po rozgromieniu Turkow przez wojska Jana III Sobieskiego.

This is another wonderful addition to a great series. Amazing that a 300+ year old shrine is kept with such reverence. Bravo to the locak residents.
