The Santuari de Lluc is a monastery and pilgrimage site in north-west Mallorca, located in the valley, in Tramuntana Mountains.
It is considered Mallorca's most sacred site.
It was founded in the 13th century after a young shepherd named Lluc found a statue of the Virgin Mary on this very site.
Every year thousands of pilgrims come to worship the statue of the Black Madonna - La Moreneta.
