At Last In Monument Valley

Exactly two years ago Tomasz and I got in Monument Valley, the place of my dreams since I started watching the western movies with John Wayne, as a kid.
At last I could see the wiev that was always on my mind. Feeling very happy!

A spectacular image of a spectacular place. I was in awe, as well, the first time I saw it in person in 1964. At that time there was no paved road and you had to make it through deep sand to get to the location of the current visitor center. There was no campground so you could literally camp anywhere. I camped next to the big rocks near the visitor center right in front of the Mittens. I can still remember the beautiful sunrise I viewed from my sleeping bag in 20 degree weather that December.
