The sign says "Allah, Al Malik, Al Watanya" - God, King, Country" - it's written on the side with white stones and lit up at night.
Above the sign at the top of the hill there are remainings of old Kasbah.
The kasbah and the medina within the walls were completely destroyed in the great earthquake in 1960 and now all that remains are the external walls only.
