On Friday my daughter Emi had her junior prom, at the end of junior high (gimazjum) school.
Parents were invited to watch the ceremonial beginning, when students were dancing three dances.
Here is the first one - the polonaise (Polish: polonez) - a slow dance of Polish origin, in 3/4 time and its name means "Polish" in French. It is always the first dance at the prom.
