The ceremonies commemorating the anniversary has taken place at the Monument to the Warsaw Ghetto Heroes, the work of sculptor Nathan Rappaport (also called a Nathan Rappaport Memorial), erected in 1948.
Hundreds of Warsaw inhabitants came and brought flowers, mainly yellow daffodils and tulips, symbol of the fight.
