This is the 3rd doll I have found at the cemetery on the grave of a child. Very sweet but eerie.

A haunting and edgy capture of what appears to be a sad reality. Visually a very powerful image enhanced by your low angle of capture and the clarity of the face of the doll. I think the play of light and shadows adds to the power of this image. VV++

I lean more toward the latter of those, especially with the shadow below the tombstone.
