These buildings clearly aren't as decayed as some of the ones that you've shot around Rochester; the one on the left in particular looks like it was painted not so very long ago. But there still seems to me to be a sense that they're balancing on a needle, and could go into decline quickly if just nudged the wrong way. I think that the occasionally slightly eccentric angles stemming from the extra wide angles (particularly in the verticals of the building on the right) contributes to that feel a bit.
