POSTCARDS

Before I became a photographer, I was a painter and a poet, and I thought words were enough to express my emotions. I became a writer for a newspaper (1994). I was blogging even before the word became an online method of self-expression. Eventually, when I turned into photography (2000), I wanted to write less to give room for my images. Most times when I couldn't express it in words, my photos conveyed my message clearly. Plus, I never had a photographer's block. I've had my share of bad shots, though.

As I get older, it turns out I have more to learn about life than cooking up poetry and clicking away. Reality bites harder than you expect. So I capture and make the most of what I can hold on to before they sadly fade from memory. Before I become forgotten, too.
