Phuket is the largest island in Thailand, and with tourism as its top earner (2013 brought 12 million tourists in its haven), it has been transformed into Thailand's wealthiest province and a must see travel destination on everyone's bucket list.
A melting pot of Buddhists (80%), Thai-Chinese, Muslims and sea gypsies, Phuket is a free spirited island of incredible experiences. I was told that there are more expats than locals in Phuket, and you can see them in droves sunbathing along the busy, beautiful beaches, particularly in Patong City that never sleeps.
Phuket is hot and humid throughout the year, and the nightlife is even hotter in more ways than one. With my 4-day stay in this amazing place, I count 25 things to do in Phuket you may want to pursue. There are far more activities to do in Phuket than what Rihanna cared to promote, and yes, I was there when she was busy tweeting what is supposed to just stay in Phuket (cuddling the endangered animal).
