Semongkong means "Place of smoke", and gets its name from the mist created by these falls. In this image you can see ice forming on the rocks. This was taken in winter and was bitterly cold at night with the days warm enough to melt the ice where the sun hits the ground. The sun doesn't reach the base of the falls in Winter so there is ice throughout the day.
