Lyttelton Harbour on a summers afternoon, Canterbury, New Zealand

Actually the summer bit was a little short-lived. A southerly was hatching those clouds in gay abandon and not long after this the weather turned to crud. Note, all you northern hemispherites, that a wind from the south means bad for us on the proper side of the equator. This was taken from the hill behind our place and our house is down amongst that lot. It is the one with the green roof.....along with some walls, windows and other improvements.

Top shot John. The cloud shadows on the harbour add a real 3D quality. When the light comes right do you sprint up the hill for the view? Cheers John
