A pleasant sunrise at Kaikoura. A north westerly air flow often provides a good chance of a reasonable sunrise on the eastern side of the country which is in the lee (shelter) of the mountains or high country. This means cloud over the country and clearer skies out on the eastern horizon....which is where any well behaved sun should always rise. I think I will be a weather forecaster.
