An excursion train, hauled by a preserved steam locomotive heads up the valley to Arthurs Pass. Here it travels along the Bealey River after having passed through spectacular mountain scenery on it's way from Christchurch. Sunny weather with fresh snow would have kept the punters happy. Clean green New Zealand. Can't beat it.
