Marokopa Falls in flood. Waikato, New Zealand

These falls are some 30k (I think) beyond the Waitomo Caves on a back country road which heads for the coast and is an alternatve way to get to New Plymouth....very alternative. It was a stormy afternoon here with thunder, lightning, rain, wind and an inside out umbrella while I waited for a bit of light on the falls. Other punters came and went which invariably meant I had to shift the tripod so they could take their photo. And then spray would smudge the lens. I pick some strange hobbies....might try something sensible like sky diving or abseiling next.
