A familiar waterfront scene here in Nelson with a rising sun lighting up the clouds beyond this iconic rock. I spent my teenage years between immigrating from Africa and going away to sea in Nelson and many was the time I rode my bike past this scene on my way to and from the port to gaze at ships. Was that a misspent youth or what?
