Goodbye Oz

Over the last few weeks Ozzy has developed a lump on his right wrist.
He didn't complain, he just limped a bit more and walked a bit slower.
When the vets saw the x-rays they said he should have been screaming in pain.
They couldn't believe he was still smiling.
The only treatment they could offer was amputation and at 14 years old we didn't think he could cope as a tripod.
So we had to let him go. Goodbye to the doggiest dog ever.

Oh no, I am so very sorry for your loss John and family. Fourteen years is certainly a long life for a dog but it is never long enough for those of us who love them. The tears are rolling down my cheeks as I write this. I will miss your beautiful boy also. Real in Peace Oz, your beautiful smile here will be how I remember you.

Another wonderful canine friend crosses the Rainbow Bridge.
It was so good that Laine and I had the opportunity to meet Ozzy along with Sam.

So sorry to hear of your loss. He was such a cheerful looking boy. You made a difficult decision, but the right decision. Your grief will diminish but the memories will remain.
