Gold

Therefore, to be possess'd with double pomp,
To guard a title that was rich before,
To gild refined gold, to paint the lily,
To throw a perfume on the violet,
To smooth the ice, or add another hue
Unto the rainbow, or with taper-light
To seek the beauteous eye of heaven to garnish,
Is wasteful and ridiculous excess.

The bard was right: there is no ridiculous excess in this image, just sheer beauty.

You have certainly found gold with this beautiful scene.

I have been staring at this image for about ten minutes but I can only come up with one word to describe it.
BEAUTIFUL.
Wish I could have seen it in person. V

Brian Samuel07-Jan-2012 22:22
Could it be a gold house?
laine07-Jan-2012 22:12
The residents of that house need to go search for that pot of gold....there is a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.....V

Gosh...you are a literary lot.

Sun always shines,
Down in my Rainbow Valley.
There's one that's always mine,
Down in my Rainbow Valley.
You can love and share a dream,
Beside that crystal stream,
So leave me where the rainbow ends,
In our valley.

- Love Affair

You really do live in Rainbow Valley, Johnny. Inspiring photo.

A harbinger of good fortune as the sun spreads its light into the shadows and pushes them away revealing in clear detail the sheep in the Thomas Hardy novel, Far from the Madding Crowd.
Phillip Normanton07-Jan-2012 19:54
The gold really is at the end of the rainbow! :o)
chris morton07-Jan-2012 19:52
Indeed - worth weathering it through some dull day s to get this. The less gold foreground is pretty good to and makes a foil & buzzard is a lit treat extra
