John Lichnerowicz: "This is an evocative picture for me - Ken Bedford, on the other end of the lines from Derek Allen, releases the model after a successful pit stop with fuel bottle, pliers and screwdriver discarded in the foreground of the picture. Not sure if the puddle is fuel or even if it is anthing to do with the pit stop but if you zoom into Ken's pipe you will see that it is empty - so there is no fire risk."
