I remember Syd racing at the Nat's in the early 60s he entered class B and had a "right-off" As he walked out of the circle his wife walked up to him and said "Never mind Syd, come and have a cup of tea". I'm not sure he raced Class B after that but he was obviously very successful at boat racing as this clipping shows. My Mother found a photo of Syd in the "Royston Crow" weekly sometime in the 1970s and in 2003 I decided to find him,I hoped he might throw some light on the whereabouts of the Johnnie hall class B model but he couldn't so we spent a very interesting afternoon reminiscing.
