Just before joining the R A F in 1953 for three years national service (extra year to get my trade photographer) I bought two ED racers and two Hornet kits. I entered them in to the Northen Heights Gala at Holton class A and made the finals. Norman Butcher flying his Sorcerer's Apprentice took first and I got the second place.
