Looking something like the profile of an old battleship, the rocks atop Great Staple Tor have
been carved into fantastic shapes by the wind, rain and frost action. It's well worth walking up
here from the car park on the main road opposite Cox Tor. (Only a mile or so up an easy steady
gradient until you come to the clitter around the south side of the tor)
