The Strangles

view map

The Strangles (bay with the rock arch in centre of photo) is an excellent place to walk,
though it's 731 feet below High Cliff and about 400 below its own cliffs so is quite a
challenge along the steep paths unless you are young. Unfortunately it is not safe
for swimming due to remoteness, currents and undertow.
