The trip to Milford sound is a long one. Although it is only about 60 km away from Queenstown as the crow flies, it is about 240 km as the bus goes. During the better part of the trip it was raining. That turned out to be a blessing because the rain feeds thousands of little intermittent waterfalls and makes for a very scenic view. We cruised on the Sound and had a nice lunch. It was a very pleasant journey.
