OK, I need some advice. I am working on a photo project while I am out here in Oregon. The family farm was a pretty big dairy operation until about 1987. At that time all the livestock went away and the operation went entirely to dirt farming. A lot of the stuff needed for the dairy was left in place and has been sitting for 20 years. I have been photographing various parts of the farm where these (and other objects) are. Here is the question. The photo for today presents a comparison of a toned BW photo and a desaturated color photo. The idea is to capture the "oldness". So, which do you like better? I think the desaturated one makes things look like a faded post card. The toned BW looks like a sepia print, sorta old time. Anyway, this should be fun.

I like the top one. The color image just seems faded.

I am a believer in "Show it as it is". Get the photo as close as you can to how your eyes see it.

I vote for the desaturated color photo. It emphasizes the dirt and rust.
