This is an old Hesston swather. All the good stuff has been taken out of it, including the motor. I shot this one and exposed the clouds properly then used curves to pull the machine out of the murk. One of these days I will do some real HDR stuff.

Canon EOS 350D
1/1000s f/8.0 at 24.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Rob - it might get towed out in the field for a trebuchet target! Dave - One thing we have with digital is high dynamic range (HDR). I am looking forward to trying that technique, but I left my tripod at home, so it will have to be another time.

Looks like target practice! ;)

This came out nicely. We truly suffer in digital photography with the wide range of light values that sensors have to contend with.
